Choosing your strings and care accessories
This collection includes string sets, an individual string, lemon oil, and a footrest. To guide your choice, first distinguish between replacing strings, caring for an instrument surface, and choosing an accessory for your playing position. Each need calls for different checks on the product page.
For strings, start with the type of guitar: electric, acoustic, or classical. Black Smith sets include, among others, 10/46 gauges for electric guitar and 10/47, 11/52, or 12/54 for acoustic guitar. Compare these specifications with those of your current set before changing references. The D’Addario Pro-Arte EJ45 Normal and EJ46 Hard sets, as well as several Savarez sets, also distinguish between tension designations. Check the tension and intended use indicated on each product page rather than relying solely on the range name.
A complete set and an individual string do not meet the same need: the Savarez Ré Fort string should be considered for a targeted replacement after checking its compatibility with your set. For care, D’Addario PW-LMN lemon oil should be chosen according to the surfaces permitted in its instructions and the instrument manufacturer’s recommendations. For the Stagg FOS-A1 BK footrest, consult the product page to check its features and suitability for your playing setup.
