EMG X Series Humbucker 81-7, 7-string – Black

Overview:
One of EMG's most popular pickups, here in a 7-string version and paired with an active tone control, the 81 is undoubtedly the pickup that started the revolution. With powerful ceramic magnets and reduced-aperture coils, the EMG 81's tone is intense, with powerful highs and smooth sustain. Traditionally used in the bridge position, this humbucker will make your leads stand out even through the densest mixes. Used in both the bridge and neck positions, its tone is cutting.

We recommend pairing it with the 85 or 60 pickup for an ultra-versatile setup.

With EMG's solderless mounting technology, you no longer need to know how to use a soldering iron to install your pickups—it's easy to do, even at home!
